My Story

While my story originates from when I was born, this chapter of my life, this new story, starts with recovery. Most people think recovery is this shunned topic, that if you are “recovering”, you are a nut case, drug addict, or something else that requires a set of sorry eyes to look upon you. All recovery is, according to the dictionary, is “a return to a normal state of health, mind, or strength”.  For a while, I was in an unhealthy state of being. When most people think of someone as being “unhealthy”, they often think to physical illness. We are not just our physical bodies though, we have minds and souls, and sometimes those can be unhealthy too. All of us have a mind, body and soul and this blog revolves around mine. There was a point not too long ago in my life where I suffered from all three parts becoming unhealthy. How I got to this unhealthy state is another story within itself, but to sum it up, I had a very negative mindset that made me question my self-worth. Through recovery, I am finding my strength, and growing mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am uncovering all the beauty that makes up me! I am at a better place in life, and my blog reflects just that.

Also, since battling with inner demons, I know how hard it can be to change oneself. And the road to recovery or simply bettering yourself can be challenging. I also want to dedicate this blog to all those who are struggling. I hope my words can inspire others to want to keep fighting and improving themselves, and give them ideas to use in their own stories of recovery. I want to make this world a better place, and writing about positivity, growth, spirituality, and just spreading my spirit across these pages, I hope to impact others. I encourage you to follow my journey and thank you for taking the time out of your day to hear my story!
